How Much Space do I need for a practice setup?

The answer in most cases actually depends on your launch monitor. For a setup that only has a net and mat, you will probably want about 10' x 10', but we recommend closer to 16' of width if you plan to use a radar based launch monitor. Can I just get a hanging net for practice

You certainly can go with a hanging net, but you really must beware of very low quality netting materials being used. We see far too often that cheap nets break down after only a few days of use and you end up with a hole in not just your net but your wall behind it.
