Rapsodo Mobile (MLM) Portable Launch Monitor

Good so far! Purchased it because it can be used indoors with a net, and outdoors. Have tried both , and works well.

I have a set up in my outside garage where I can take a full swing with any club hitting into a net approximately 8 to 10 feet away. I set the Rapsodo unit behind my tee area (6 to 8 feet) on the same level as my tee mat. At first the unit was not picking up a number of my shots. I put higher wattage bulbs into my ceiling lights which helped a little but not to where it was picking up all my shots. I ended up purchasing a set of construction LED lights on a tripod ($25.00) and placed this behind the Rapsodo unit shinning the lights at the tee mat and net area. That solved the problem. The unit reads just about every shot with much better accuracy. I have only used the net option of the practice mode so far. I want to establish base lines for all of my clubs. Once established (launch angle, carry distance and ball speed), I will work on improving my stats going forward. I am very pleased with the Rapsodo unit and the immediate feedback it verbally gives after each shot. I may migrate to a large iPad other than my iPhone to use with the unit for a larger readout. My eyes aren't what they used to be! By the way, my garage ceiling height is 9'4" which is plenty for me and my friends. If all works out and I end up using this set up many times, I may opt for a simulator next fall!!

I have used it 3 times, and it is working great! I am using the net mode in a large room I have available. I have enough room to set it up exactly 6’ behind the ball and 8’ to the net. Seems pretty accurate, especially when the ball is hit well and with a launch angle over 10 degrees. Very cool to have the stats on every shot recorded on the app ... including a video of every shot. I was able to go up to a PW in loft limited by the hight of my net (7’). I can see that it will be helpful to not only keep my swing going over winter, but also use the shot feedback to work towards consistency. I’m very excited to use all the additional features designed for an outdoor range this spring! So far, it seems like a very sophisticated device, and a tremendous value for the money.

Love this launch monitor. The only issue I have when using indoors and hitting driver into net can't get my entire body and top of swing in video.

It was easy to set up and start using however my swing speeds were 20 mph greater than my real swing speed. On line directions are nonexistent and you have to have email discussions with the MLM support.

I think it is a ripoff that they charge $100/year to unlock apex and slow motion video. If I wanted the storage space and online coaching I would pay the subscription fee. But I don’t care or need the storage space and online coaching. They are charging me $100 per year to unlock features that the device is measuring! Pretty shabby to say the least.
