Both work well — it comes down to your setup and how often you'll deploy and retract. The powered motor is the convenient option if you have a 110V outlet nearby and plan to roll the screen up and down regularly. The hand crank rolls up in about 30 seconds, requires no power, and is a solid choice for spaces without a nearby outlet or for golfers who leave the screen down most of the time. The enclosure system and screen quality are identical across both options.
The 4:3 ratio (Vanish 9, 11) is a squarer format. The 16:9 ratio (Vanish 13, 16) is the standard widescreen format used by most modern projectors and simulator software — it typically delivers a sharper, more immersive image for simulator play.
