SwingBay Golf Simulator Screen & Enclosure FAQs

Can you hit all of your clubs into SwingBay?

Absolutely, the SwingBay impact screen is over-engineered to withstand high ball speeds up to 250 MPH! You can hit all of your clubs, driver through wedges into this impact screen that is designed to withstand heavy use over an extended period of time.

What Comes Included with SwingBay?
  • Crisp White Ballistics Grade Impact Screen
  • Heavy Duty Aluminum Framing With All Needed Tools and Hardware
  • Nylon Blackout Curtain Enclosure
  • Triangular Side Netting x2 with Sandbags
  • Frame Padding Flaps
  • Integrated Velcro Assembly
Can I iron or steam a golf impact screen?

We do not recommend ironing your golf screen, simply because it is very easy to damage the screen. That being said, we have found success using a clothing steamer on the back end of the screen to iron out the wrinkles from packaging. Once your screen is initially steamed and hung up, you should not ever have to remove wrinkles again due to the natural elasticity.

Do your screens produce bounce-back?

We are actually very proud of this feature. By using our recommended size bungees and making sure that the end of your screen to the inner portion of your frame is about 1", you will find that the ball will bounce back about 5 feet, bringing the ball right back to your feet.

This convenience will keep you from fishing the ball out from the crack of where the screen meets the turf!

When will I start to see wear and tear on my screen?

The good news is, our screens are engineered to withstand 250mph of ball speeds, making this the most durable impact screen out there.

With this being said, our RS Tour premium screens still require care and attention to maximize the life. As long as you actively rotate the golf balls being used and keeping both the balls and your clubs clean, you will have very little wear and tear on your screen.

Over time, your screen will develop very subtle discoloration streaks from the spin of the golf ball, and this is normal. If you are making sure to regularly rotate your golf balls, your screen will last you for years to come.

How big of a room do you need for a golf simulator?

A minimum room size of 12 feet in width, 9 feet in height, and 15 feet in length is recommended for a basic golf simulator setup. However, for a more comfortable experience and to accommodate full swing motion, a room size of at least 12 feet in width, 10 feet in height, and 16 feet in length is preferable.

Is a 9' ceiling enough for a golf simulator?

Yes, a 9-foot ceiling can be sufficient for a golf simulator, but it may limit the types of shots you can comfortably take, especially for taller players or those with a higher swing arc. It's advisable to ensure there's enough clearance to avoid hitting the ceiling during swings.

What all do you need for a golf simulator?
  1. Golf Launch Monitor.
  2. Simulator Software.
  3. Computer or Mobile Device.
  4. Net or Impact Screen.
  5. Projector (optional)
  6. Hitting Mat.
  7. Side Netting.

So Far Everything is Great!!

I’ve just finished setting up my SwingBay enclosure and I am very happy with it. As advertised the materials are good quality, the frame is very sturdy and the screen is made out of good, heavy material. I used the YouTube installation video for instructions, making the setup/assembly very easy. It is pretty tight to attach the screen to the frame but with 2 people it goes pretty quick. Many websites said the SwingBay is the best simulator enclosure and after setting mine up, I would agree.

Best simulator I have hit into and I was able to set the entire thing up myself. They say 2 ppl but it’s easy with one. Took a few hours start to finish and the rain or shine guys are great with any questions I had along the way. Buy it, you won’t be sorry….
