How accurate are measurements, and do I need calibration?

Indoors, photometric accuracy rivals many radar units—spin and distance numbers are consistently reliable when lighting is controlled. Outdoors, bright sunlight can interfere, so accuracy can dip slightly. There’s no user calibration required, but firmware updates (via Wi-Fi) improve spin algorithms over time—keep the unit up to date.

How long does the battery last, and how do I recharge?

Expect about six hours of continuous use per charge. Leaving the backlight on or staying in full simulation mode can drop that closer to four and a half hours. Recharge quickly via USB-C—you’ll get about 80 percent battery in an hour of fast charging.

What software comes included, and can I upgrade?

Do I need a computer, tablet, or smartphone to get ball data?

No. The Launch Box has a built-in 4.2″ E-ink display that shows all core metrics instantly. You can practice in offline mode without any external device. If you want simulation or course play, you’ll need to pair it via Bluetooth with a PC or iOS device running E6 Connect.

What metrics does the Launch Box capture, and what does it not measure?

The Launch Box records ball speed, vertical launch angle, horizontal launch direction, spin axis, club head speed, and smash factor. From those, it calculates carry and total distance. It does not track club path, face angle, or apex—so if you need in-depth club data, look elsewhere.
