Step One
YOU BUY THE PLAN, WE GET TO WORK
The design fee is the whole commitment, and you get it back in full the moment you buy the build from us. So if you end up doing the room with Rain or Shine Golf, the design costs you nothing. If you take the plans and build it yourself or hand them to your own contractor, they are yours to keep and we part as friends.
Step Two
A REAL CONVERSATION ABOUT YOUR ROOM
You get on a call with the person who will actually draw your room. We go through your measurements, your ceiling, the obstructions you are worried about, whether you are right or left handed, who else uses the space, and what you actually want out of it. Basement, garage, spare room, new build, commercial bay. This is where the room gets decided, not on a form.
Step Three
WE MODEL YOUR ACTUAL ROOM IN 3D
One parametric model of your exact space, built to your measurements. You see where the screen lands, how far the projector throws, where the launch monitor mounts, how much room you have behind the ball, and what you will actually be looking at when you stand there. Not a stock rendering with your dimensions typed on it.
Step Four
DIMENSIONED SHEETS YOUR BUILDER CAN WORK FROM
The 3D is what you show your spouse. The 2D sheets are what your contractor builds from. Floor plan, side section, both wall elevations, and a framing detail, all dimensioned, with the electrical and low voltage runs marked so your electrician can rough it in before the walls close. Hand the set over and they know what to do.

AND AN ITEMIZED QUOTE FOR EVERY PART
The plan comes with a materials quote covering every component it calls for. Screen, enclosure, launch monitor, projector, mat, turf, flooring, padding, computer, software, hardware. Real line item pricing, so you know what the room costs before you commit to any of it. No estimate, no range, no surprise at the end.

Most people who will draw you a simulator room do not build simulator rooms. We have put thousands of these together, so the plan is drawn by people who know what actually goes wrong on install day: the ceiling that is an inch too low once you account for the drop, the projector throw that does not clear the golfer, the outlet on the wrong wall. That is the difference between a pretty picture and a set of plans.

THE ROOMS THAT GO WRONG GO WRONG EARLY
Almost every simulator room that ends up disappointing somebody was decided before a single part was ordered. Ceiling an inch too low once you account for the mount. Screen too close, so the good miss hits a stud. Outlet on the wall that ends up behind the enclosure. None of that is a product problem and no amount of good equipment fixes it afterward. It is a drawing problem, and drawings are cheap compared to framing. We charge for this because it takes real hours, and we give the money back when you build with us because by then we would rather have the project than the fee.
What is the SimSquad Design Service?
It is a paid design engagement for your simulator room. You give us your space, we consult with you directly, and we model your actual room in 3D and produce a full dimensioned 2D plan set: floor plan, side section, wall elevations, framing detail, and the electrical and low voltage runs. It comes with an itemized quote for every component the plan specifies. The fee is credited back in full if you buy the build from us.
Why Pay For A Plan?
Honest framing: you can get a free quote from anybody, including us. What you cannot get for free is somebody spending real hours inside your specific room, working out whether a 10 foot ceiling survives a drop mount and a projector, or where the screen has to sit so a right handed golfer is not swinging into a return. Free advice is worth what it costs. The mistakes it prevents are measured in framing you have to tear back out. And because the fee comes off the build, the only people who ever actually pay for this are the ones who take the plans and go elsewhere.
Not sure whether your room will even work? Send us the dimensions first. If your space cannot take a simulator we will tell you that for free rather than sell you a plan that says so.

In full, applied to your order, when you buy the build from us. There is no minimum purchase and no expiry games. The design fee exists so the people who are serious get real design hours, and so the ones who just want free drawings are not funded by the customers who buy.
Room width, depth and ceiling height, and a few photos. If you have obstructions, a soffit, a beam, a window, a garage door track, tell us. If you do not have exact measurements yet we will walk you through taking them on the consultation call.
The consultation happens within a few days of purchase. The plan set follows after that. If you are working to a contractor's schedule tell us on the call and we will work to your date.
That is what the 2D set is for. It is dimensioned, it includes the framing detail and the electrical rough-in locations, and it is the same set our own install crews work from. Your contractor does not need to know anything about golf simulators to build the room correctly.
Then the design fee comes off the project and we take it from there. We design it, we source it, we install it, all in house. That is the path most customers take, which is why the fee is structured the way it is.
